With its snow-crowned peak and alpine treasures, via the young-looking lay of the land, Tatras mountain this is nature endless beauty which give you pick up your bag and slow walking on the landscape you’ll feel you’ve stumbled into a fantasy. While, in winter, it can be coated with a heavy layer of ice and snow, on a fine summer’s day its scoria slopes can be easily traversed to the summit. Misted mountains and emerald fjords, ancient fern-ridden forests and steep-sided valleys, huge stretches of rugged, you’ll feel a flutter of joy every time your eyes view all of them.

With long winters in the mountains, It’s no secret that Zakopane with nickname “the winter capital of Poland”, awe-inspiring destinations have an incredible offering of skiing destinations up their sleeves. But even due to its central location on the verge of both the High Tatras and the Western Tatras, Zakopane a number of tracks to the mountain’s summit is the best gateway to the whole landscape so the area is also worth visiting during all other seasons. When the snow melts, the mountain is favorite of hikers and climbers attracted to the towering peaks and rugged beauty of Tatra Mountain National Park.

You can providing an excellent opportunity for all-day exploration with hiking 🧗‍♀️🧗‍♂️spectacular mountainous trails in unique and diverse the pine forests🌲🌲🌲 and terrain with supporting a range of birds and flora, view crystal clear postglacial lakes and more energetic way is to hike up to the summits. The High Tatras, with their dramatic vistas, steep peaks, sharp rocks, deep glens, and crystal lakes are the most attractive. At the same time the Western Tatras’ lower slopes clad in pine forests offer wider horizons, diverse wildlife, and somewhat less demanding tracks. Of course, the area is relaxing, too, with shuttle mountain biking🚵‍♀️🚵‍🚵‍♂, even swimming 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️and fishing the Dunajec river or simply enjoy one of the most scenic, peaceful panoramas.

Well, we were trip to Zakopane in winter season, a must-visit for powder shredders, It is scenic as well as epic because of the terrain offers a fantastic vista of the Tatra invites us to get into the snowy spirit. With astonishingly gorgeous mountain range and many marvelous lakes, Kasprowy Wierch a famous mountain in Western Tatra range is the most popular ski center in Zakopane. Awe-inspiring destinations and a unique ski🏂🏂🏂 culture are skiers will love it, while advanced powderhounds can venture up off-piste terrains and snow bunnies just fun with marvel at the entire experience. Wide runs prov ide plenty of scope for beginners to practise, and the higher chairlift stopovers are perfect for the advanced adventures wanting to immerse themselves in the park’s large alpine terrains. While in Zakopane, you can take the cable car to Mount Kasprowy (1987 m asl), it boasts a few very long ski routes and a modern ski lift, there are two chair lifts operating in winter season.

During our Slovakia travel trip, we have already enjoy of our skiing in the resort which nearly of the Kosice town. So during our plan of Zakopane trip, we decide our journey to view the unique of the Mountain Range, iconic Mount Tatra summit and the distant valley below🙂🙂🙂. We walk toward the northern end of Krupówki Street, our purpose is Gubałówka Hill, it’s the hill opposite the Tatra mountains🏔🏔🏔 range. Although it does not belong to Tatra mountains but it is one of the best for admire a panoramic view of the Tatra Mountains that surround the city. For those of you not looking for such a big challenge but want something a little harder, Gubałówka Hill with up and down of this relatively simple hike is suitable for you. If you simply prefer a more relaxing😎😎😎 mode of exploration, you can take a ride in a funicular train to Gubalowka hill. Because of time problem, we only plan for one day on our Zakopane trip so we decide take funicular train, walk passing through the open air market we were find the cable car🚡🚡🚡 station that leads to Gubalowka Hill. The return ticket price is 23 PLN ( 5.37€) per adult.

While keep our eyes on incredible scenery, a few minutes later the cable car bring us up to the summit of Gubalowka Hill. When we are on the top of the Gubalowka, we feel one of the unique aspects is the view👀👀. It’s a time to appreciate the immensity of the world beneath my feet and use our eye to look forward all of them – a postcard-perfect mountain. Use our eyes appreciate the most spectacular views fiordland panorama ringed between immense peaks of the snowcapped Tatra and sublime views around the numerous valleys and canyons. Use our heart feel of the winds churn clouds down steep cliff faces and the cloud blanket disperses in the sun. Although the views along the way are definitely worth, but be warned though, it is 100% exposed so take sun screen, remember bring the sunglass 😎😎😎, plenty of water and apply sunscreen even in winter time .

In the clear sky, we stroll on the busy road surrounded by glaciers, you can imagine how spectacular of the scenery. Its narrow path are lined with a number of timber houses and old wooden chalets🏕🏕🏕, plus the landscape of snow in the mountains🏔🏔🏔 makes these brown- black cabins more visible. The busy path is home to restaurant, chalets stay and wooden houses with hosted for tourists with hundreds of souvenirs stands, from souvenirs to food🍽🍽🍽. Relax in the restaurant and cafe or one of the outdoor terraces for a casual dining experience at the top. Special seats in the open-air restaurants are erected in various places to admire the view – overlooks a sea of cloud with enjoy the lure of charm majestic view.

On the other side of the path is locals are commonly walking along the small snow mountain range on the smallest village🏡🏡🏡 a place of tranquillity and relaxation. We’ll catch a glimpse simply by wandering around village and view outstanding panoramas wider horizons snow land through rolling hills with stands of pine trees and snowy peaks. It also provides the snow activities like skiing🏂🏂, snowboarding, sledding and winter hiking.

Walk at the end of the busy path is another spectacular view over Tatra Mountain, views into the surrounding glacier carved valley all the way to the Fjord, this is infinitely rugged landscape. We feel a smile 😊😊😊of joy when our eyes look towards several huge peaks, white landscape of city and the valleys with a sheer drop. Just what one imagines, It’s truly awe-inspiring! Or you can also take chairlift with a bird’s-eye🦅🦅🦅 view of the below a panoramic viewpoint in every direction.

At the summit of Gubalowka Hill, whether you’re strolls on the path, dining at a rooftop restaurant, participate the winter activities or gazing in awe at the view from the top of the funicular, but you can’t resist views of the spectacular Tatra Mountains that can be seen around yourself. Although the Tatra Mountain might not find the advanced and expert terrain quite as aggressive as the Alps Mountain, but by the time we step foot in Gubalowka Hill we will feel as though we are entering a fairy tale with charming and magnificent Tatra Mountain as background.

The prior post we have mention the Tatra mountain are connected between Slovakia and Poland. While travel in Slovakia we only visit few range Tatra mountain so during our Poland Trip we decided experience other different beauty scenery picturesque of Tatra mountain🏔🏔🏔. The Tatras are a mountain range of a corrugated nature, and therefore characterized by a relatively young-looking lay of the land, quite similar to the landscape of the Alps, although significantly smaller. Alps-like Tatra Mountains, is rise to the greatest elevation in the entire northern half of Europe, with the 2655-meters (8711 ft) Gerlachovsky Stit in Slovakia and the 2499-meters (8198ft) Rysy peak in Poland. Both Slovak and Polish sides are protected as national parkland and are popular destinations for winter and summer sports. The Tatras are home to wildlife including the Tatra chamois, marmot, lynx and bears🐻🐻🐻.

Whether you’re nature lovers or you just want to experience more of Poland than Krakow, follow us to our travel destination is Zakopane. Nestled between Gubalowka ridge and the foothills of the Tatry Mountains to the south, Zakopane is a picturesque ancient town in a narrow valley best enjoyed on foot. This town is as picturesque as they come while offering fascinating views of nature and a wealth of activities that keep visitors coming back. Biggest mountain resort🏡🏡🏡, it hosts beautifully renovated 18th-century homes🏛🏛🏛 for preservation of the town’s architectural heritage with surrounded by imposing mountains. Don’t think that this retro-style town is only the buildings of the old century. Yet, the town does also have a modern side, Zakopane well-developed in tourism infrastructure and earned the nickname “the winter capital of Poland”. Zakopane also has managed to preserve Goral culture with many of its traditional customs all to be authentic delight.

How to go:

If you think🤔🤔🤔  such as nature attraction is very far from Krakow town. No no no, you are wrong!!!  However, venturing two hours further south brings you to “the winter capital of Poland” – Zakopane. That means sit just located a little over 100 kilometres, it’s extremely easy to reach Zakopane by bus 🚌🚌🚌from Krakow Town. Normally the bus leave regularly from the main bus station (Dworzec Autobusowy@MDA) just beside of Galeria Krakowska Shopping mall which near the old town. Outset our mountain town journey on the early morning, for go to the bus station (Dworzec AutobuMosowy), we suggest direct walk🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️ into the shopping mall and its easy go toward to the gate of bus station. Don’t worry and not necessary to buy bus tickets in advance because they are many buses running, the schedule of the bus every 30 minutes a trip with the ticket price is just around 20 PLN (4.68€) per adult. Of course must buy some breakfast in the bus station while don’t forget drink a cup of coffee for give us refreshing, it’s good starting point for journey to adventure mountain😍😍😍

Whether you are like us just a round trip or stays for few days it is a good choice. The town itself is home to a number of timber houses🏠🏠🏠, chalets, new modern buildings and manor houses, making for an idyllic base from those whose like to explore the surrounding mountains. The beautiful Town😍😍😍 of Zakopane is the gateway to the Tatra mountains National Park, the country’s largest nature preserve. Love of the great outdoors will fall in love with the town and this area with its extensive network of scenic trails. As its name suggests, Zakopane surrounded by snow-capped mountains🏔🏔🏔 and beautiful alpine landscapes, thus making it a place for stunning views in every direction.

Take the camera📷📷📷, we explore the town with walk as relaxing on the wide stone-paved street and wander along the narrow alleys. Dotted with 18th-century Alpine houses, the impressive architecture of Zakopane, traditionally made up of carefully carved wood and snug alleyways with cafés, restaurants🍽🍽🍽, bars, hotels🏨🏨🏨 and shops, the town is full of hidden ins and outs that we can spend hours. Continue on the trail leading to the glistening snow scenery, in the views of the surrounding towering oak and sycamore trees🌲🌲🌲 or enjoy the majestic views while snow-capped mountains serve as the backdrop .

Of course, you also can only visit for the Krupówki Street, the main pedestrian zone of Zakopane always bustling with life for full of shops and restaurants, horse carriages and street performers. The town also is the scene of a traditional Goral culture for its vigorous folk traditions, its rich in its unique styles of food🥐🥖🧀, architecture, handicrafts, music, and costume. We come across the local market with have numerous wooden sculptures, traditional slippers, fur coats and fur hats can be found dotting the streets. Buy a few of local staple, Oscypek ( smoked sheep’s milk cheese) with the recipe followed dates back to the 14th century which can view selling the stuff all over the town of Zakopane. Oops😞😞😞 ,the taste is not suitable for us because of very very salt, It feels like grabbing salt to eat. Zakopane, the town have real character along with well-developed in tourism infrastructure and spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding Tatra foothills that make it a jaw-dropper. With it hundreds years of human history, castles as the remarkable and there is no shortage of impressive castles dotted throughout the Europe landscape. Although nature is the best of architect for creation picturesque scene but also us, humans, have the creativity to create something fascinating. Castle🏰🏰🏰 is one of the greatest human-made architectures where people have been fascinated and anyone would have the opportunity to see and explore. These magnificent structures have survived wars, fires🔥🔥🔥, dozens of generations, and stood the test of time. Castles seem full of magic and mystery, something straight out of a fairytale and stories have drawn inspiration from real castles that we can still see around us to this day.

When asked about Krakow castles, most people would immediately think of Wawel, one of the largest😮😮😮 Castle and the iconic symbol in Poland. The glorious ensemble that is Wawel Castle, perched on top of the hill of the same name immediately south of the Old Town, is by far one of the most important collection of buildings in Poland. The current castle dates back to around the 14th century onwards, built at the behest of King Casimir III and is the crown jewel of Kraków’s architectural treasures. Located on the left bank of Vistula river, the impressive castle complex on top of the mountain easily resembles something out of fictional world – with pretty sweep of red-tiled building, there is so much for the eye to explore😍😍😍.

Just like many Poland castles, the history of Wawel hasn’t been without its turbulent times. After so many vicissitudes, the Castle was rebuilt, its combining the elements of nearly all European architectural a style of medieval, renaissance and baroque periods, Wawel Castle showcases one of the finest examples of a uniquely Polish design. The imposing interiors blend nicely with the majestic entrances, creating a unique atmosphere. There is at least one stage in everyone’s life, everyone will fantasize about the “he”🧑🧑🧑 in our heart, someone dress glittery garment, cloaked with a cloak, a sword in the waist and struggle with fire-breathing dragons in a bartizan tower. Now when walk in this castle we still can dream a little thanks to storybook abodes that really do exist to our fairytale fantasies. With according to a famous Polish legend, a legendary cave in the western slope of Wawel Hill, this cave is where the Wawel Dragon (Dragon’s Den) lived🐲🐲🐲. The oldest version of a legend about the dragon of Wawel, related to the mythic beginning of Cracow, the grotto is 270 meters long, going all the way to the banks of Vistula river.
