Be apart from Budapest is 140 km and take two hour train🚆🚆🚆 ride to Eger Színház, ticket price is 2394HUF (6.77€) per person. For our suggestion, not commendable😔😔😔 as ride the train because in our route it have repair of railroad and didn’t direct reach our final destination. So we must take the “replacement bus” to another train station, its let us trouble and waste the time, unless you can make sure the railroad haven’t any renovate. So, for our return back trip, we choose for ride the bus🚍🚍🚍 and the ticket price is 2000HUF (5.66€) per person.

While there are many that baroque architecture and fascinating streets that define the region, there’s something extra about meander through the narrow lanes of the Old Town. We stroll on cobblestoned streets in the Old Town and the most prominent feature of this place is the “Dobo Ter” which is Main Square with the fountain and the statue of Istvan Dobo and lined with arched colonnades, churches, cafes, as well as medieval structures. Get cosy with shopping spree along Old Town. We sure not forget try a glass of wine and I like the rose wine🥂 that recommended by boss, it happens to be the perfect wine. The taste of wine were refreshing🥰🥰, crisp and perfect with food particularly of fried pork and the sweet pink wine would no longer do. Total cost for our lunch for two person is 3060HUF (8.71€).

Eger is the home of the popular wine-growing region of Hungary. So worth hiking up Nagy-Eged hill, from its top unmatchable scenery opens to Eger and the Bükk mountains, simultaneously it is very rich in different species. Because of the inclination angle of sun rays is close to vertical and the limestone base rock of the hill cause the character of the wines coming from here is very different from other wine region. As nature lover will especially enjoy, start from railway station and walk🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️ about 5km, the nature trails passing along side vineyards and hiking up 536m to the hillside estate for panoramic views across the vineyard and city, looking like a model of a town, is Eger. However, we tour on the winter seasonal so haven’t discover and look for vineyard but we can view the agriculture start for cultivate.

Don’t forget to visit the medieval Castle🏰🏰🏰 of Eger, oldest building in city and the best panoramic views of the hodge-podge of medieval terra cotta roofs and timbered walls. On the Old Town, a little distance from the “Dobo Ter ” to castle and on our left the smaller gentle river skirts around beautifully painted homes and we wander on the narrow cobblestoned streets all up to the hill where until will reach the main gate. The cobblestone path we’re walking on Castle was built in the 15th century. It was expanded numerous times over the centuries and the structure had strong foundations of an inner and an outer fortress, a gate tower and bastions.
On the top of Castle, let us peaceful for panoramic views across the Town of Eger and a sunset be enhance our feeling of well-being. It’s a wonderful sensation to feel the warmth of the sun🌇🌇🌇, and that experience is heightened by charming panoramic views from an overlook at the top.

Europe has a long and turbulent history, the castles are the relics of witnessed centuries of dramatic historical events. Magnificent and charming, if you’re after epitome of Romantic design then not much can beat Buda Castle Hill 🏰🏰🏰. Easy imagine as a merriment building of ornate embellishment, it from white limestone façade turrets and secret terraces to steeped in myth and legend of monument, Buda Castle Hill could be the setting of a story book📖📕📖. Nestled at the hilly west bank of the Buda side of Budapest, not only important historic sites, Buda Castle Hill also hides the entrance to a large interconnected cellar system that consists of natural caves created by thermal waters and man-made passageways.

Easily accessible by either on foot or via public transport from Budapest City, Buda Castle Hill is district packed with historic sites and famous for its splendid vistas which be an ideal day-trip of your Budapest schedule. You also can enter Buda Castle from St. George Square to the north, where the Sikló funicular connects Castle Hill with the Chain Bridge and Pest. Buda Castle Hill to have been first royal castle dates as far back as the Stone Age🤩🤩🤩, was the backdrop to a sequence of events that ultimately changed the course of Hungary’s history. Resulting in an interesting mix of important medieval ruins and architectural highlights from the last few centuries, the fortress exemplifies new-Renaissance architecture and truly us imagine as the truly scenery in the fairy tale castle. With elegant appearance, the castle is almost otherworldly and stands in complete contrast to the green grove🌲🌳🌲 that surround it, overlooking the breathtaking panorama🏙🏙🏙 of Pest.

The castle had a tumultuous history that reflects the ups and downs of Hungary’s fortunes. The rich history of the site and the hundreds of years of renovations has resulted in the interesting design which is famous for medieval, Baroque and Neoclassical houses🏠🏠🏠, churches, public buildings and monuments🏚🏚🏚. We walking the uphill road and past the most vestige of the Buda Castle, round bastion is guarded as a beautiful tower gate and its more than three hundred meter (1000 ft) long facade facing the Danube is particularly impressive.

The main structure of the Buda Castle, known as the Royal Palace is the historical castle and palace complex of the Hungarian kings in Budapest. The castle was badly damaged in WWII, but much of the exterior has since been fully restored, the current incarnation is a massive example of the 18th century’s obsession with Neo-Baroque-style structure😍😍😍. The palace is more than 160 rooms, interior was stripped and destroyed during the war, the palace in particular is completely devoid of ornamentation and none the magnificent royal apartments have been reconstructed. Currently the Royal Palace is home to the Budapest History Museum🏛🏛🏛 and the Hungarian National Gallery. The gallery hosts a large collection of Hungarian paintings, drawings and sculptures. Lucky enough😄😄😄, you can also same as us can look of the Changing of Guards behave in certain time outside of the Royal Palace.

Go along toward Fisherman’s Bastion, one of the most unique and Magnificent viewing🥰🥰🥰 terraces at the exact spot where the local fishermen’s guild built their defence installations in the Middle Ages. We like Fisherman’s Bastion architecture as look of fairy tale tower which complex with neo-Romanesque architecture features conical turrets on the base of a stretch of the Buda Castle walls and design by architect Frigyes Schulek. Its seven high-pitched stone towers symbolize the seven chieftains of the Hungarians who founded Hungary in 895. From here, you’ll find some of the best views over the beautiful Danube and the architecture of Pest on the other side🌉🏙🌇.

Trinity square is endless cobbled streets and alleyways on foot, we wander in the cobblestone streets, it’s main streets still follow their medieval paths, some houses date back to the 14th and 15th centuries, giving us an idea of what the Castle District may have looked like back then. Practically every house has a plaque indicating the century in which it was built, and providing details of its history. This area feels less like a castle and more like a small town with number of the buildings are still private homes. In the centre of the square is a prominent sight in Budapest, Matthias Church also sit on the Buda Castle Hill. The architecture of the Church is fascinating, Its reflecting a distinctly Baroque style, unique character and the sumptuous is adorned with European artworks, sculptured and exquisite stained glass windows. This Roman Catholic Church has hosted many coronations since it was built in the 13th century, making it one of Hungary’s most important churches😮😮😮. One of its most interesting features, apart from beautiful Matthias Church is a large Baroque plague column with statues of little angels and larger statues of saints, topped off by a sculpture representing the Holy Trinity.

It was especially lovely at night🌃🌃🌃, when the crowds were gone and landmarks were lit up. The castle courtyards remain open 24 hours a day, it’s a great area to explore after nightfall as most attractions along the Danube are floodlit at night. But most of the castle attractions close at 6 or 8 pm (depands of season) , some of the restaurants🍕🥩🍰 and bars🍷🍸🍻 stay open until around 11 pm or midnight, and then the castle goes calm and quiet. Similarity, It also is a impressive panoramic view over the wonderful city and the beautiful architecture. View of the connected to the Chain Bridge, the palace complex is breathtaking at night when the overpass and the Castle are lit up. This fascinating nightscape is the perfect ending to our today’s itinerary.

Walking along the banks of the Danube in the heart of Budapest, hard to miss is a rare one of the most iconic shots is a brightly lit building at the banks of a blue river, Hungary’s Parliament building🏛🏛🏛 known around the world as one of the most stunning examples of combine Gothic Revival and Renaissance Revival architecture. Situated in the Pest side of the city, Hungary’s Parliament building has been witness to some of the country’s most pivotal moments, it’s has stood through the world wars and a shifting urban landscape. We explore its rich history with more than a hundred years of history behind it and currently are the largest building in Hungary.
Construction started in 1885 based for an open tender was held for the design of the Parliament building. There is a little sad 😢😢😢story behind this building .It is the creation of architect Imre Steindl who gets the winner but sadly went blind before its completion, leaving him unable to appreciate his finished masterpiece. Inaugurated in 1904, the Parliament of Budapest is a statement to the incredible building expertise of the architects and stonemasons involved in the construction. It is almost impossible😲😲😲 to comprehend how it was possible to build such an intricate and imposing building with the tools and technology available at the time. Standing at 268m (879ft) long, 123m (75.4ft) wide and 96m (314.9ft) tall, the Hungarian Parliament is the country’s largest building and the third largest parliament building in the world. Architecturally, the building is in the Gothic Revival styles; it has a symmetrical façade and a central dome. The dome is Renaissance Revival architecture.

This marvel of symbology in mind engineering, Steindl cleverly incorporated key numerical facts within its structure to illustrate the importance of its construction👏👏👏. The dome of the main Parliament building is 96 meters high, which symbolizes refers to the nation’s millennium, 1896, and the conquest of the later Kingdom of Hungary in 896. There are also 96 steps on the main staircase, which take visitors up to a magnificent hallway. Within the Grand Stairway there are eight, four-ton granite columns, of which only 12 can be found in the world today. Finally, 365 towers are incorporated throughout the building, one for each day of the year. Inside its grand walls there are 691 rooms, 10 courtyards and 12.5 miles worth of stairs.

With awe-inspiring architecture, it offers insight into Hungary’s political past and currently houses the offices of the Prime Minister and his staff, as well as one of Hungary’s biggest treasures: Since the 12th century, more of the kings have been crowned with this priceless art piece, which is protected by two rotating guards at all times. The façade displays statues of Hungarian rulers, Transylvanian leaders and famous military figures. Inside and outside, there are altogether 242 sculptures on the walls.

Charm, cobbled alleyways and atmosphere, and the buildings are about one hundred years old, with thick walls, high ceilings, and motifs on the front wall. Stunning old buildings which have been restored and are now equipped with every modern convenience with a fully equipped kitchen, a seating area with a sofa🛋🛋🛋, a double bed🛏🛏🛏 and freestanding bathtubs with shower🛁🛁🛁 and a hairdryer. Your home bank may charge a flat fee or a percentage as a withdrawal fee. In Budapest, you can find ATM machine which have mention NO ATM FEE, that mean you would not change for local ATM fee, but your own bank will likely charge a fee for transactions abroad. Overall, Budapest transport can be the pricey compare to other during our Europe trip so planning using what kind of transport is very important. If you same as us travel to or from the airport in Budapest, use the airport bus🚌🚌🚌 that is the most affordable way to get into the city, the ride is simple and fast. The airport bus (200E) takes you to the Kőbánya-Kispest metro terminal (Line M3). From this metro terminal, one can continue with the metro line🚈🚈🚈 M3 and reach the city centre. OR you can take 100E bus, from the airport🛬🛬🛬 direct to the city center and the bus stops at Kálvin square and Astoria and the last stops is at Deák Ferenc Square. At Airport, there is a bus stop just outside Budapest airport arrivals and 100E ticket price is 900 HUF (2.71€) single trip. Airport bus tickets🎫🎫🎫 are can be purchased at different points; machines next to the airport bus stop; the ticket machines at the bus stop and train station; at the post office🏤🏤🏤. By the way, you can also direct purchased the tickets from the driver when boarding the airport bus(Note: One-way tickets and travel cards can`t be use).

As we mentioned above, the price of transport fees for this country a little higher so for our suggestion walking🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ is probably your best bet. Same as us, easy walking around city because most of Budapest’s city center and historic districts are easily accessible by foot. Simultaneously, Budapest as sprawling metropolis which has one of the richest public transportation systems of all European capitals. As Budapest has an excellent public transportation system with four metro lines and vast system of streetcars (or trams) and trolleybuses. Single tickets and travel cards are valid within the administrative boundaries of Budapest for all metro🚈🚈, bus🚌🚌, trolleybus and tram🚋🚋 services. Outer suburbs are well served by trains (suburban railway) so you need an extension ticket for the suburban railway🚉🚉. (Note: One-way tickets and travel cards can`t be use).

We want to see the contemporary atmosphere on the Vltava and take a stroll along the river, the longest river in the Czech Republic which flows through the centre of Prague and the river played a fundamental role in the foundation of the city. The waters are used to drink and used to irrigate the steppe regions. Because of its importance in the country, the Vltava has mythological status, the panoramic views over the river and of the historic buildings🏛🛕 beside along its banks are unrivalled. At is a retro atmosphere around this place, walk through Street to the cosy promenade offering a fantastic view of this main symbol of Prague🏙🏙🏙. Seeing it from the Vltava perspective, Vltava beauty is everywhere you look, on one side of the river banks found the fascinating folklore in Vyšehrad, the Old Town and New Town which line the river’s route, on other side is spellbinding scenery steeped in majestic Prague Castle🏰🏰🏰, Hradčany and Petřín Tower. View of the meandering Vltava River that reflects the city’s golden spires and castle that dominates the skyline.
